Construction work has started on a new industrial development in north Birmingham.
Eleven warehouse and trade counter units totalling 72,007 sq ft are being built on Forge Industrial Park in Minworth in a project worth £11 million.
The scheme is being developed by Chancerygate with Tamworth-based Quantum Construction as contractor.
Initial site works on the three-acre site completed earlier this year following the demolition of a 69,000 sq ft industrial building while overall completion is due by the end of this year.
Mark Garrity, Chancerygate development director and head of its Birmingham office, said: “We’re very pleased to see construction work start on site at Forge Industrial Park.
“The area is very well established in the trade and industrial market which made it ideally suited for our speculative development model.
“The development is already receiving a great deal of interest from prospective occupiers and we are looking forward to successfully delivering Forge Industrial Park in partnership with Quantum Construction.”
