The management team behind North Staffordshire’s first Marriott hotel has announced a trio of new hires ahead of the venue’s opening next year.
The new Courtyard by Marriott Keele Staffordshire hotel – which is being built at Keele University’s Science and Innovation Park – is due to open in February 2021.
Now head chef David Savage, operations manager Ryan Clackstone and front of house manager Lauren O’Connor have been confirmed as the latest recruits.
Their appointments come just months after Scott Randall was confirmed as the general manager of the new 150-bedroom hotel.

Scott said: “As we edge closer to the new year and opening day, I’m pleased to welcome David, Ryan and Lauren on-board. In what has been a challenging 12 months for the hospitality sector, we’re looking ahead with a positive outlook and will be eager to await our first customers in February.”
Operations manager Ryan added: “To join a new hotel with new team is certainly an exciting prospect and I’m looking forward to the challenge. I look forward to working alongside the management team in the coming months as we lead up to the official opening in February.”
Developed by Keele Hotel Developments – a joint venture between Marick Real Estate Ltd and Mill Lane Estates Ltd – the hotel will be operated by Tower Hotel Management under a franchise agreement with Marriott International.
