TORY LANEZ has denied shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, has been accused of shooting Megan, 25, in the foot and wounding her after a party in the Hollywood Hills on 12 July.

The pair were travelling in a vehicle together when the alleged incident took place.

Tory, 28, has been charged with assault with a firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

On Wednesday, Tory’s lawyer entered a not guilty plea on behalf of his client. It is reported that the rapper “strongly rejects” the allegations against him. He was not present at the hearing.

Tory is due back in court in January 2021. He has been ordered to not make any contact with Megan.

If convicted of the charges he faces, Tory faces a maximum sentence of more than 22 years in prison.

After footage of the pair being stopped by police in July surfaced, Megan revealed on social media that she had been shot in her feet.

Speaking on Instagram Live, the Savage rapper said: “I had to get surgery to get it taken out, get the bullets taken out, and it was super scary.

“It was just the worst experience of my life, and it’s not funny.”

Lanez, who has not spoken explicitly about the incident in public, did reference it on his album Daystar, which was released in September.

Last month he tweeted: “The truth will come to the light … I have all faith in God to show that … love to all my fans and people that have stayed true to me & know my heart … a charge is not a conviction. If you have supported me or Meg thru [sic] this, I genuinely appreciate u [sic].”
