A North Staffordshire recruitment company is ‘busier than ever’ with more than 100 vacancies on its books – despite the pandemic.
Blink Recruitment, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, has had an influx of enquiries over the past few months meaning it is now looking to fill around 100 roles across all business sectors.
Current vacancies include import and export clerks, gas installation engineers, fork lift truck drivers, welders, fabricators, CAD designers, CNC machine operators and more.
Now managing director Daniel Rodziewicz wants to reassure people who lost their jobs during the pandemic that there are plenty of jobs available with companies in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire as well as South Cheshire and the wider Midlands region.
The StokeonTrentLive Business Awards are back for 2021 to celebrate the great and good of the business community from across Staffordshire and parts of South Cheshire.
There are 13 categories up for grabs including Young Professional, Growth and International Trade as well as the coveted Business of the Year award.
The awards are being held in association with Staffordshire University which is the headline sponsor and the Science and Technology category sponsor.
The event will be held virtually on Thursday, April 22, 2021 and will celebrate the great and good of the business community from across Staffordshire and parts of South Cheshire.
The deadline for entries is Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
Daniel said: “There’s a noticeable upturn in jobs available as companies look to move forward following the pandemic. It also appears that there’s some roles created by Brexit border changes, such as import and export clerks.”
He added: “There’s a demand from many companies to come out of the pandemic with a bang and they are already moving forward and recruiting.
“Many people have lost their jobs over the last 12 months and a proportion of these people may have to retrain and take on new roles, but we are determined to support them and point them towards the roles that are out there.”
Blink Recruitment, based in Queen Street, was founded in 2020 by Daniel and Tracy Hollins, who is the founder of sister business of Blink Digital.
The company – which works across the full recruitment spectrum and specialises in sectors including industrial, engineering, logistics, construction and admin services – hit the ground running, placing 100 people in jobs in its first six months.
Blink Recruitment has plans to grow in 2021 by creating jobs in its own business, but the long-term plan is to eventually expand into additional offices across the Midlands and North West.
