Packaging supplier TPBI UK has unveiled its plans to triple the size of the business in the next three years.
The company, which is based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, manufactures and supplies paper packaging products such as paper bags, paper cups and bowls to some of the world’s biggest supermarket brands.
It currently employs 100 staff at its North Staffordshire warehouse, on Rosevale Business Park, but it is now looking to increase its workforce by a further 25 as part of its ambitious growth plans.
TPBI UK’s Chief Commercial Officer, John Wilkinson said: “We are looking to grow and we have a number of opportunities available. Initially we are recruiting for machine operators and machine setters; the machine setting roles are quite specialist, and would suit anyone with a mechanical or automotive background, but generally what we look out for is attitude.
“If people have the right attitude, and want to progress, then this business is a great vehicle for them to do that.
‘All-in-one packaging’ specialist TPBI plc is an international business which is headquartered in Thailand and has sites in Myanmar, Hong King and Australia.
The 200 million-dollar listed business produces packaging for major supermarkets and food processors around the world.
The UK arm of the business was launched in 2018 following the acquisition of Intelipac, a paper packaging manufacturer which counts Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, McDonald’s and Hello Fresh among its customers.
John added: “Paper packaging has been identified as a real growth area for the company, and so we have an ambitious expansion plan for the UK business. We want to triple in size in the next three years.”
Current vacancies include 20 machine operative positions and five machine setting roles. There are also a number of other vacancies in the company’s admin and sales departments.
More information about the positions can be found on the TPBI Group website.
