Written by on 13/12/2021

Management at an East Midlands-based security company say they hope to create hundreds of jobs as demand for its services grows.

The team at Octavian Security UK, based in Bingham, Nottinghamshire, say they have won a number of big contracts in recent months.

The business provides services including property guarding and alarm response, mobile patrols, CCTV monitoring, event security and dog security.

It is looking for workers in in Nottingham and Buxton, Sheerness, Park Royal in London, Northampton, Ryton in Warwickshire and Sandtoft in South Yorkshire.

As part of its recruitment drive managing director Reshma Sheikh said the business will sponsor a number of new starters through their industry-standard SIA licence and training.

Typically the business is looking for recruits with a valid frontline SIA door supervisor or security licences or current certificates of completion of SIA front line training.

She said: “Octavian has continued in 2021 where we set off last year – with a huge number of prestigious client wins.

“These new sites are high profile and the successful candidates must possess excellent customer service skills, be reliable and dependable with acute attention to detail and complete adherence to operational procedures.”

“Staff development and retention is a high priority for us, and that’s why I’m delighted to announce the chance for a number of our new staff to be sponsored by the company through their SIA qualifications and subsequent training. We continue to invest in the areas that we work, and sponsorship supports our objectives.”

She said Octavian’s new intake will benefit from a range of company benefits, plus a pension and comprehensive and ongoing training.

Ms Sheikh said: “During the pandemic we have become the go-to provider of specialist security services across numerous high-profile sites in the UK. I look forward to welcoming our new intake as we enter 2022.”
