The Birmingham Post Business Awards have launched for 2021 and we’re seeking nominations from businesses and individuals who have made a mark on industry in and around Birmingham.
The winners will be announced on June 15 in a virtual ceremony – with nominations open until April 19. If you feel that you or your business have achieved something worthy of recognition, enter here.
We feel it’s particularly important to celebrate businesses and businesspeople after the last year as the coronavirus pandemic has thrown up serious obstacles for industry in and around Birmingham and placed many companies and individuals in precarious positions.
Despite this, businesses and their employees have worked tirelessly to ensure they are able to survive and even thrive during the coronavirus pandemic – demonstrating the ability to persevere, adapt and innovate in difficult circumstances. It’s this work that the 2021 Business Awards will recognise.
If you feel your company is worthy of recognition, there are ten categories that can be entered by a company and one for individuals.
There is also the overall Business of the Year Award, the recipient of which will be picked from one of the winners of the award categories.
For instance, you might think that your business is a good fit for the Green Business of the Year Award – acknowledging companies that have put real work and investment into being environmentally friendly and which work to make sustainability a core principle of their operations.
Perhaps you’re a business owner or employee under 35 who feels they’ve distinguished themselves over this last year. The category will celebrate someone who has made a big impact on the Birmingham business scene despite their young years.
This year we’re also running a one-off Covid Defiance Award for a business that has demonstrated remarkable resilience during the coronavirus pandemic. It might be that your company continued to expand despite the challenging circumstances or that you took the pandemic as a chance to innovate and change your business’ operations for the better.
We want to hear from you so the fabulous work taking place in Birmingham can be properly celebrated – and so have made our entry process quick and easy.
To enter the awards, businesses/individuals will only have to provide a short company overview to offer a sense of what your company does and the context it operates within.
After that, entrants should provide reason to support their entry and why they think their entry should win. Finally, financial information may be necessary to support certain claims.
