Megan Thee Stallion: ‘I didn’t deserve to get shot’

MEGAN THEE Stallion has spoken out about being shot in a live broadcast on her Instagram page.

Sharing her story on social media, the 25-year-old was visibly emotional, shedding tears as she recounted her injuries.

The rapper had been in a car with Tory Lanez, 27, earlier this month when they were stopped by police after reports of a shooting in the Hollywood Hills.

Tory was arrested with carrying a concealed weapon.

In video footage of the stop, obtained by TMZ, Megan appears to be bleeding from her feet as she walks back from the vehicle with her hands raised.

“I was shot in both of my feet”

A few days after the incident, Megan revealed in an Instagram post that she had been shot and underwent surgery to remove the bullets.

Now the star has shared more details about her injuries and the emotional impact the experience has had on her.

Speaking on Instagram yesterday, she said: “I see a lot of people painting fake ass narratives and making up stories and all this other wack ass s***,”

Through tears Megan said: “I was shot in both of my feet and I had to get surgery to get the bullets taken out and it was super scary.

She described what happened to her as the “worst experience of her life” and told viewers: “Oh Lord, I didn’t think I was going to cry.”

As she spoke, viewers sent messages of support and she thanked her fans for helping her get through it.

Since news broke that Megan had been shot, her experience has been the subject of memes and jokes making light of the incident.

No laughing matter

Addressing jokes made about her ordeal, Megan said: “It was not funny. It’s nothing to joke about. It was nothing for y’all to start going and making fake stories about.”

50 Cent has since publicly apologised to Megan for posting a meme that made a joke about the shooting.

During her appearance on Instagram Live, Megan also referred to accusations that she had been violent before she was shot. “I didn’t put my hands on nobody. I didn’t deserve to get shot,” she said.

While surgery was required, the bullets did not break any of Megan’s bones or hit any tendons in her feet.

The Hot Girl Summer rapper, who has not named who shot her and had not until yesterday spoken in detail about the incident, denied that she had not done so to protect anyone.

“It’s not that I was protecting anybody. I just wasn’t ready to speak,” she said.

It is not known who inflicted the gunshot wounds on the rapper.

The star, who cried as she spoke about losing her mum, who she described as her best friend, and her father said she would be taking some time to herself.
