Kevin Davis, chairman of the Ladder for Greater Birmingham initiative, said: “The last year has been one of the most difficult in living memory for the economy but, despite this, employers, training providers and apprentices have battled valiantly to recruit staff, continue training programmes and educate the next generation.
“I am therefore delighted that we are once again in a position to celebrate this work with our 2021 Greater Birmingham Apprenticeship Awards.
“It was fantastic that we still managed to hold a ceremony last year, albeit virtually, and I know from speaking to people locally that there continues to be a real vigour and support behind the Greater Birmingham apprenticeship community.
“The Ladder for Greater Birmingham is once again proud to partner these awards and we look forward to reading your nominations over the coming weeks.”
The awards are run in conjunction with the Ladder for Greater Birmingham campaign, an initiative launched in 2018 aimed at creating hundreds of new apprenticeships in Birmingham and Solihull.
