AS GHANA celebrates its 62nd Independence Day publication highlighting Ghana’s future leaders is set to launch on the country’s Independence Day (March 6).
Amid the celebrations the charity Future of Ghana which is focused on organising, mobilising and advancing the education and training of young Ghanaians is launching its annual Future of Ghana 30 under 30 list for 2019.
The project is an annual search dedicated to unearthing and showcasing the pioneers and innovators of the future.
The list is compiled after a global search for people who are making an impact in industries around the world.
The job of selecting this year’s cohort fell to an esteemed judging panel including; Founder of Africa Business 2020 Akosua Annobil, rapper and entrepreneur Derek “Sway” Safo, Mavis Osei, CEO of Miss Ghana UK, Culinary entrepreneur Essie Bartels and renowned business leader Terry Afram.
This year will see Future of Ghana Ltd celebrate its fifth anniversary.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “Come Independence Day 150 Ghanaian future young leaders/pioneers from around the world have been selected to create a community of changemakers illustrating what a progressive Ghana looks like and mobilizing for change through our Future of Ghana Alumni network.
“The full deluxe Fifth edition of the publication scheduled for release in May 2019 will transcend stereotypes, highlighting the unsung contributions of future leaders to Ghana’s development driving the conversation around Ghana’s future development.”
The spokesperson added: “The publication also features forward thinking articles highlighting key industries, innovators and organizations visions for Ghana and Africa.
“We hope it will act as a catalyst to encourage greater youth participation with the development of Ghana whilst also act as a visual source of inspiration for the emerging generation and a talent resource for investors and organizations.”
A pre-edition of the publication featuring profiles of all the top 30 U30 pioneers will be available digitally on 28 March 2019 via www.futureofghana.com *
