A property developer has acquired a site in Wiltshire where it plans to build a £21m luxury residential scheme comprising 50 eco-efficient homes.
Hayfield has bought an eight-acre site in the village of West Lavington on the north edge of Salisbury Plain, around five miles south of Devizes, from local building contractors Gaiger Properties Limited and Crossmolina Limited for an undisclosed sum.

Outline planning consent is in place, with Hayfield having submitted a reserved matters application to Wiltshire Council for a range of bungalows, maisonettes and two to five-bedroom houses.
Around a third of the proposed development will be designated for affordable housing, with all 50 homes tenure blind by design.
The West Midlands firm said the homes could be equipped with sustainable features such as air source heat pumps, energy-efficient underfloor heating and electric vehicle charging points, as well as ultra-fast broadband.
The site, located off Lavington Lane, could also incorporate landscaped public open space, a play area, native tree planting, an attenuation pond, and a new area of wildflowers to encourage biodiversity.
Hayfield said its plans included the creation of a new access road and footpaths to adoptable standards from Lavington Lane, and 20 new designated drop-off car parking spaces will be provided for the nearby Dauntsey Academy Primary School.

The land deal sees Solihull-based Hayfield acquire its second site in Wiltshire, with the other being the 70-home Hayfield Wood project in Broad Blunsdon.
Andy Morris, managing director of Hayfield, said the company was “delighted” to begin the year with a “prime acquisition”.
Mr Morris said: “As a reflection of the desirability and popularity of this area with aspirational purchasers, this scheme will become one of Hayfield’s most luxurious new developments.”
Hayfield is currently delivering over 500 homes at eight developments across Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire.
The company, founded five years ago, said it was on track to increase turnover to £150m this year.
