A property consultancy is entering a new era after undergoing a management buyout.

David Hemming and James Merrick have each acquired 50 per cent of Sutton Coldfield-based Burley Browne and will lead the firm as joint managing directors.

The independent consultancy provides a wide range of commercial property services to clients such as private individuals, small businesses and pension funds with a specialist focus on north Birmingham and Staffordshire.

Peter Browne, who co-founded the company with Andrew Burley in 1999, will continue to work with the pair as a consultant.

The Birmingham Apprenticeship Awards are back for a second year, in partnership with the Ladder for Greater Birmingham. The event will be held online only on Friday November 27, 2020 and will celebrate apprentices, employers and training and education providers.

The deadline to enter has now passed but sponsorship opportunities are still available.

If you have any questions about the awards in general, please email paige.jackson@reachplc.com and contact nikki.kandola@reachplc.com if you would like to learn more about becoming a commercial partner of the awards.

Mr Merrick said: “These are very exciting times at Burley Browne.

“David and I now have ownership of the business and have a clear vision for the future.

“We have agreed a robust strategy and are determined to drive Burley Browne forward.”

Mr Browne added: “We’ve got some fantastic clients and highly experienced colleagues.

“I’m delighted to pass on the reins to David and James and I’m confident the business will be in safe hands as it continues to evolve.”
