A Black Country manufacturer has acquired a Scottish firm to help it broaden its range of products.
Smithwick-based Metpro, which was founded in 1995 and supplies components to the UK mechanical and electrical markets, has bought out Edinburgh outfit Demon Cato in an undisclosed deal.
Demon Cato’s directors, who are retiring post-completion, were responsible for the invention, innovation and manufacturing of a new range of conduit boxes and couplers.
Metpro’s managing director Mark Fiddy said: “Having been involved in the success of this great brand as its manufacturing partner since its inception, we are thrilled at the opportunity to build on this legacy and continue to provide the same levels of product quality and service that customers expect.
