A free webinar is taking place next month aimed at helping Birmingham companies take control of their public relations.
Birmingham Publicity Association has teamed up with city PR agency East Village to run the event which is targeted at creative and media professionals.
Organisers say the ‘lunch and learn’ session will talk through the importance of having a PR strategy, how to create engaging content such as press releases and blog posts and maximising interview opportunities.
East Village founder Tara Tomes and account director Hattie D’Souza will lead the webinar and explain how PR can be used to boost awareness of a company’s operations and support revenue growth.
The Birmingham Post Business Awards are back for 2021 and now open for entries here. The event will be held online only on Tuesday June 15 and will celebrate businesses and individuals across 12 categories including our overall Company of the Year and a special covid award.
The deadline to enter the awards is Monday April 19 and sponsorship opportunities are also now available. Please email [email protected] for details and follow the hashtag #BPBAwards for updates on social media.
The ceremony will be hosted on our new virtual events platform The Awards Room which gives nominees and sponsors the chance to experience real-time networking and hear from speakers.
All of your attendees will be placed together on your own table and you can invite people from outside your group to join you during the event.
Your table will also have private chat, allowing you to communicate with your colleagues during the awards. For more information about our Business Awards and events please visit www.reachplcevents.com.
Ms D’Souza said: “The pandemic has turned us into more conscious consumers than ever before and we’re now sold on the people behind the brand as much as the products they offer.
“Forming a narrative and telling it well is what PR is all about but business owners and brands still believe that communication support is expensive, exclusive or exhausting.
“We hope this session just proves that it really doesn’t have to be.”
This event is part of Birmingham Publicity Association’s regular series of webinars since moving online due to the pandemic.
