ALANA MARIA is back with the accompanying video to her new single, My Heart, featuring dancehall star Kranium.
Directed by Terry Paul, the video’s vibrant visuals and fun choreography features Alana partying with her girls in an attempt to move on from a past love.
Following on from her debut single Happier, My Heart charts the journey to of the breakdown of a relationship and that eventual realisation that moving on is sometimes for the better. Alana’s honeyed vocals layered over a pulsating beat combined with Kranium’s own now iconic flow, the track gives a nod to the islands.
Speaking about the track Alana said: “My Heart is about is about the trials and tribulations of a relationship…you know there are times when you go through a relationship and you forget who you are, your worth and you find yourself continuously trying to have hope in people and trying to see the best in them when really you should be focusing on yourself, guarding your heart.”
Born and raised in west London and inspired by the likes of Aaliyah, Jhene Aiko and Summer Walker, the 19-year-old former model has already earned co-signs from the likes of PA Salieu, Tion Wayne and Pink Sweats. She has also collaborated with Rebecca Garton on anthem All Me Part 2.
Alana has amassed over 300,000 views to date with her Instagram and freestyle covers, rapidly cementing her status as a rising star.
