Where do you get your inspiration from?
I would say it’s probably the people around me, life in general and my faith. I’m somebody that’s always wanted to help others and I’m always inspired by people’s stories.
What challenges have you faced in your career journey?
The main challenge in terms of what I’m doing now juggling everything because I do quite a few things. I’d say another [challenge] is remaining focused at all times because there is quite a lot of distraction, particularly with social media at the moment and being distracted by other people that might be doing something similar.
What do you do to relax?
I actually just really like staying indoors! I’m really big on wellbeing and sometimes just being still and taking inventory of my thoughts and reflecting on things is really,
really good thing to do for relaxation.
What advice would you give to young women following in your footsteps?
I would just say to be really proactive in terms of achieving what you’re thinking of doing. Go out there and talk to people and try and do a bit of research. Really believe in what it is that you’re bringing to the table, and I feel like that will really fuel and push you forward to go after that career or that job.
What has been the highlight of your career?
With the work that I do it always comes as a surprise when I’m nominated for an award or if I win one. The very first [Precious] award I won for She Is You was a really big booster for me.
